 Germinate Lecture 2018 – 9 May

The Germinate Lecture offers an annual opportunity to engage with someone at the forefront of developing effective Christian leaders.

The Rt Revd Rachel Treweek moved from ministry in the urban Diocese of London to become Bishop of Gloucester in a predominately rural diocese. In her lecture she will help us explore the soil of our landscape, including some of the stones and thistles, as we seek to be fruitful in being the Church in traditional and new ways in rural areas.

The lecture will be held on Wednesday 9th May from 10.30am – 2.30pm at the Arthur Rank centre, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth.

Only £10 earlybird rate until 22 April.

 Roof alarm recommendation from parishes

Rugby Deanery Churchwardens Forum recently heard from Peter Webb of St. John’s church, Hillmorton, who had investigated roof alarms and settled on the system from E Bound (as approved by Ecclesiastical Insurance). He relayed that it had cost £3,300 plus VAT with an annual maintenance charge of £240 plus VAT. With the recent increase in roof metal theft from churches across the region a good alarm is well worth investing in. It protects your precious roof metal and also improves any insurance pay out in the event of theft.
