 The Well events this Christmas Season

Tickets are available for the 4 December Quiet Day led by Bishop John Stroyan, titled “Turning and Returning – Starting Again with God and Others”. They are very excited to hear what Bishop John has to say.

Remember to book your place in time for the Listening to God conference on Saturday 25 November with Maurice Markham. On 8 December, the Rocco Quartet will be singing some festive musical numbers and old favourites for a Christmas Fundraising Concert for the Well.

 CCN launches ‘Thought for the Week’

Partnered with Coventry Cathedral the Community of the Cross of Nails currently numbers 210, and is growing partners around the world in churches, charities, schools, seminaries and peacemaking organisations.

Each Friday from around noon, when they pray the Coventry Litany of Reconciliation in the Cathedral ruins, you can now hear one of these partners give their own perspective, both practical and theological, on reconciliation in the world today, either in their local context, or regionally, or globally.

 Reflections on Reconciliation

During the Coventry Peace Festival fortnight, Coventry Cathedral are releasing six individual video-interviews with the Cathedral’s current and former Canons for Reconciliation, including Revd Canon Paul Oestreicher, Revd Canon Andrew White and the most Revd and Right Hon Justin Welby.

Each candidly shares their memories, hopes, and challenges, intercut with stunning footage of both Cathedral buildings. View these beautiful and inspiring films, each on average around 30 minutes in length, every few days as they are released on the Cathedral’s website.

 Pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi

A pilgrimage has been organised, through McCabe Travel, to Rome and Assisi from 10 June until 18 June 2018, led by Rt Revd Michael Langrish.

 City Priase and Prayer – 12 November

Bishop Christopher warmly encourages everyone to attend City Praise and Prayer on the 12th November 2017.

City Praise and Prayer is an initiative that seeks to gather Christians, regardless of denomination or stream, to lift up the name of Jesus together in praise and to pray with one voice for God’s Kingdom to come in the City of Coventry.

It will take place on Sunday 12 November at 6:30pm at The Welcome Centre, Parkside, Coventry, CV1 2HG.

 REMINDER J.S. Bach’s Mass in B Minor – 11 November

On Saturday 11th November 2017, as part of Coventry’s Peace Festival, Coventry Cathedral Chorus and Orchestra Pro Anima will join with professional soloists in a performance of J.S Bach’s magnificent Mass in B Minor.

 Coventry Cathedral Peace Lecture – 13 November

On Monday 13th November at 7pm, the annual ‘Lord Mayor’s Annual Peace Lecture’, will take place in Coventry Cathedral.

This years speaker is the Revd Canon Paul Oestreicher who is an Anglican priest, a Vice President of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and a former Director of Coventry Cathedral’s Centre for International Reconciliation.
