The Diocese of Coventry has an integrated strategy based on growing healthy churches, with a strategic emphasis on 20s-30s. We have recognised the huge importance of equipping laity for whole of life ministry, and have just secured significant funding from the Church Commissioners to develop this strategy further.

As part of our Serving Christ programme, we are currently recruiting: – Five full-time Learning Mentors; and – One part-time Learning Mentor.

Anna Laycock 13/07/17  News Story – 50 years in the Cathedral Choir

Graham Warren, one of the Cathedral’s Choral Clerks, has recently celebrated fifty years as a member of the Cathedral Choir.

Graham’s commitment to the choir was celebrated during the ordination of priests earlier this month. Bishop Christopher presented Graham with a special certificate and a pair of Royal School of Church Music cuff links.

Anna Laycock 12/07/17  News Story – St Peter’s Centre Inclusive Kitchen

On Monday 3rd July, the Bishop of Coventry, the Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth, joined the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Tony Skipper, and the head of Coventry Council, Martin Reeves, to officially open the new inclusive kitchen at St Peter’s Community Centre in Hillfields, Coventry.

Ryan Finnegan 04/07/17  Red Hill Christian Centre – 25 Year Celebration

Red Hill has been serving the local community around Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa for the last 25 years during which a cross has been the focal point on the hill viewable from the buildings complex below.

They are celebrating both the 25 years of Red Hill serving the local community and the dedication of a New Cross on 5 August from 2pm till 5pm. Refreshment in the form of tea and cake will be available afterwards in the Dovecote Dining Room.
