|Graeme Pringle 07/07/17 Briefing|| Successful ‘Serving Christ’ bid
Three weeks ago, Archdeacon Morris announced that the diocese had applied for a substantial grant for a new project called ‘Serving Christ’.
The good news is that we have now heard that our bid was successful.
In response, Bishop Christopher says: “I am delighted that we have received this significant support from the Church Commissioners. It will help us to make a step change in the way we learn together to be more effective disciples and serve Christ more faithfully and fully.”

|Ryan Finnegan 07/07/17 Flyer|| Reconciliation, Gender, and Sexuality Forum
St Michael’s House at Coventry Cathedral is hosting a conversation on reconciliation for the Church and LGBTIQ community on 18 July at 7pm which will be led by Mary Matthews.
Mary is a graduate student from Virginia Theological Seminary on placement with the Reconciliation Ministry Team. She was the coordinator of an Australian national industrial chaplaincy program and also a leader in women’s sexuality issues designing support and education programmes in Australia.

|Ryan Finnegan 07/07/17 Flyer|| Hiroshima Day 2017 – 6 August
Hiroshima Day will take place at Coventry Cathedral and the Chapel of Unity on Sunday 6 August 2017 at 6pm and will be led by the Dean of Coventry, John Witcombe.
All are welcome to join this service of reflection which will include music, religious and secular readings and silence. They will also make Japanese Origami Paper Cranes of Peace.

|Ryan Finnegan 07/07/17 Flyer|| Learning to Listen – An Introductory Course
Learning to Listen is a course which will be lead by the Diocesan Spiritual Directors, Chris Edmonds and Mary Boddington. The course covers the Biblical basis for listening, what listening is, why we need someone to listen to us, the core qualities of listening and how to listen with an emphasis on encouraging participants to understand and try out listening skills in a safe and non-judgemental setting.
The course costs £30 and will take place in September, October and November 2017 at St John the Baptist Church, Berkswell.

|Ryan Finnegan 04/07/17|| Red Hill Christian Centre – 25 Year Celebration
Red Hill has been serving the local community around Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa for the last 25 years during which a cross has been the focal point on the hill viewable from the buildings complex below.
They are celebrating both the 25 years of Red Hill serving the local community and the dedication of a New Cross on 5 August from 2pm till 5pm. Refreshment in the form of tea and cake will be available afterwards in the Dovecote Dining Room.
Attendance is free but places must be booked in advance using the link below.
