|Ryan Finnegan 09/03/17 Flyer|| Reconciliation Lecture with Marcus Ferrar
Marcus Ferrar, Vice Chairman of The Dresden Trust, will give the third lecture in the “Reconciliation Reimagined” series on the 14 March at 7pm in St Michael’s House. He will speak on “The Dresden Trust: A Personal Journey of Reconciliation”.
The British Dresden Trust is dedicated to healing the wounds of war and furthering harmonious relations between the people of Britain and Dresden/Saxony. It was a response to the ‘Call from Dresden’ to help rebuild the city, in particular the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) which was destroyed by the British and American bombing in February 1945.

On 22 March there will be an opportunity to give thanks for the life of Offa House, to look ahead and to listen to what the Spirit may be saying to the churches. Refreshments will be available from 7pm with the event taking place from 7:30pm till 9:30pm at St Nicholas, Radford Semele, CV31 1TA.

Prayer for Christian Service takes place on Monday 3 April from 4pm till 5pm in the Chapel of Unity, Coventry Cathedral.
Hear about and pray for a place of welcome for all. Hear about ways to help people feel they belong to a friendly and supportive community, whatever their circumstances or background.

On 1st March 2017, Ash Wednesday, the Bishop of Coventry dedicated ‘The Coventry-Dresden Cope’, a new vestment to be worn for commemorative occasions by those involved in the work of reconciliation and the Community of the Cross of Nails in Coventry and in Dresden.

|Anna Laycock 05/03/17|| News Story – Vicar appointed to lead St Mark’s
Last October it was announced that Coventry church, St Mark’s, Swanswell, will open up its doors to worshippers again in autumn 2017 – 45 years after it closed in 1972. The Revd Dr Phillip Atkinson has been appointed to lead this exciting new initiative and has started to gather people who are interested in forming the new community at St Mark’s.
