|Ryan Finnegan 16/02/17 Flyer|| Cherishing Churchyards Month – June 2017
Could your church organise an event for Cherishing Churchyards Month in June 2017? This could be a family event such as a picnic, a treasure hunt, a mini beast safari, tree bingo, leaf rubbing or a nature and prayer trail.
The aim of the month is to encourage everyone to particularly take an interest in the wildlife in churchyards. Coventry Diocese Environment Group would like to have events throughout the diocese so that as many people as possible could take part.
For more details and to see suggestions of activities please see the attached flyer.

|Ryan Finnegan 14/02/17|| Lead Thefts Likely to Rise
As lead prices are rising again this is likely to prompt an increase in thefts. One church has recently been targeted.
Where roof alarms are installed any activations or problems should be treated as serious and immediate threats and be immediately addressed.
There have been incidences of criminals disabling alarm systems and leaving a marker (in the form of a stone on a stick) to indicate a vulnerable roof.
Where unexplained activation occurs churches are advised to: • contact the alarm company to check the system • contact the Police to tip them off about suspicious alarm activations • share with other churches/properties in the area.
