This Advent, let your light shine and reach out with love across the world with Mary’s Meals.

Mary’s Meals sets up and runs community-based school feeding programmes in some of the world’s poorest areas. With Mary’s Meals, we can reach out to those facing poverty and hunger with love and light.

Ryan Finnegan 06/10/16 Flyer  Project Bonhoeffer Day 2016 – ‘Faith and Frontiers’

The Project Bonhoeffer Trust are organising a day conference on 5 November 2016 which will take place at the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, Coventry Cathedral.

The event will be on the theme of faith and frontiers. The conference is open to anyone who is interested in Bonhoeffer, the theology of nationhood and borders, or refugees. The keynote speakers at the event will be Professor Esther Reed from the University of Exeter and Ben Bano, coordinator of the refugee support organisation ‘Seeking Sanctuary’.

Ryan Finnegan 06/10/16 Poster  ‘Simplify’ – Conference for Women

Simplify is a women’s conference taking place on 15 October. It is designed to help you discover your rhythm and simplify your life. It promises to be a fun filled day with live worship, NGM music academy and a hog roast lunch.

The day will include guest speaker Sarah Loughrey, Solihull Renewal Church, and a variety of interactive workshops to choose from including: ‘Youth workshops’, ‘Joy’, ‘From drifting to focused’, ‘From overwhelmed to organised’, ‘From anxious to peaceful’.

Anna Laycock 06/10/16 Flyer  Opportunities to hear from ice climber, Carlos Buhler

Carlos Buhler, a renowned High Altitude ice climber who has put the most difficult route up Mt Everest which has yet to be repeated, will be coming to Coventry and Warwickshire from the 16th- 20th October.

Whilst here he will be giving a series of presentations to share some of his climbing stories, insights, and photos whilst also raising funds for the Gorkha Foundation, who are constructing four schools damaged by the 2015 earthquake.

Anna Laycock 03/10/16  News Story – Ex-Archbishop’s play coming to Stratford

The English premiere of Shakeshafte, a play written by the ex-Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, is set to take place at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon next month.
