Parish Buying is here to help you save time and money on key areas of spend so that you can free up your resources to spend on your church’s mission and ministry.

Photocopying contracts are an area where a lot of churches get caught out, with many contracts allowing almost unlimited price increases across the agreement, with hidden charges and extra payments built in. The Parish Buying procurement team have made sure their contract with Toshiba doesn’t have any of this and, since they launched it in 2011, they’ve had great feedback.

Claire Strachan 29/06/16 News 3  Church Buildings News – issue 3 available now!

The latest issue of Church Building News is now available on the Diocesan website. This issue contains lots of useful articles including information about our new Maintenance Co-operative project supported by SPAB, churchwarden training opportunities and the importance of fire risk assessment in churches. This issue also features the exciting extension project recently completed at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford upon Avon.

Anna Laycock 30/06/16  Ordinations at Coventry Cathedral this weekend

Eleven new priests and five new deacons are to be ordained this weekend. Ten of the priests will be ordained by the Bishop of Coventry at Coventry Cathedral on Saturday 2 July at 5pm and one priest will be ordained by the Bishop of Ebbsfleet at St Mary’s Church, Nuneaton on Sunday 3 July at 6pm. The deacons will be ordained by the Bishop of Warwick at Coventry Cathedral on Sunday 3 July at 10.30am.

Anna Laycock 29/06/16  News Story – Bardsley Youth Project win award

The Christian Initiative Trust has presented Bardsley Youth Project in Coventry with their Silver Award, worth £20,000, to enable the Project open a Youth Homelessness Hub.

Now in their fourth year, the Christian Initiative Trust Awards aim to encourage active community groups and individuals that have new and positive social impact ideas to apply to win a substantial monetary prize of up to £25,000 to support them in bringing their ideas to life.

Sarah Palmer 28/06/16  Exploring Your Calling, 1-2 October 2016

St John’s School of Mission is offering a weekend that will help you on your journey of discovering God’s calling on your life.
