Ryan Finnegan 10/03/16  REMINDER – Listening Skills Course

this course is suitable for anyone interested in pastoral care, spiritual director training or giving support as a church visitor. The course covers all the basic skills of reflecting, paraphrasing, and empathy, in the context of pastoral care and the Biblical basis for listening.

It will touch on issues such as confidentiality, when to refer on, self-care, ‘tight corners’, and what we can/cannot offer. The course is a good grounding in listening either to improve existing skills, or learn new ones.

It will take place Thursday evenings from 12 May till 23 June, at St Mary’s Church, Walsgrave. For more information please see their website.
