Claire Strachan 15/10/15  ‘Church Open – What’s Next’ Symposium – 14th November 2015

The Church Visitor and Tourism Association are holding their Annual General Meeting and Symposium on the theme of tourism in open churches. The fee for the day to include initial tea/coffee and then lunch is £25.00. There is also the opportunity to make a weekend of the event with visits to a number of local churches on the Friday afternoon, followed by a meal together in the evening. This Quiet Day will take place at Offa House on Saturday 5 December. It will offer an oasis of peace away from the busyness of our December lives. Led by Lois Baldwin and Peter Sidebotham it will be mostly silent with time for gathered prayer and a guided meditation.

As we approach the season of Advent, the Revd Dr David Pym will lead this Quiet Day at Offa House on Tuesday 24 November. Along with times of silence and individual reflection, there will be meditations on a selection of the Psalms.

Ryan Finnegan 15/10/15 Poster  Kings Chamber Orchestra – 20 November

The Kings Chamber Orchestra, a group of professional musicians, come together in this their 30th Winter Anniversary Tour to share their faith through presenting a musical journey through time and space searching for the real Christmas.

‘Following the Star’, a family concert at 4:30pm, traces the journey of the Magi to the original Christmas and at 7:30pm ‘Silent Night’ contains a programme of works ranging from Tchaikovsky to Raff with plenty of seasonal surprises.

There is a free, national conference for young people aged 16-20 who are exploring a calling to ordination. It will take place place in Ely from 15 to 17 February 2016 (which is during half term). Sarah Palmer 12/10/15  Vocations Evenings 2015-2016

Are you or someone you know interested in exploring God’s calling? We are running a series of three evenings for all interested in exploring their vocation. All are welcome and our aim is to explore vocation in an open, safe and encouraging environment. The first session will be on Tues 24 Nov 7.30-9.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Beauchamp Ave, Leamington Spa CV32 5RG.
