The June Prayer Diary includes news stories from Kenilworth Deanery.

Please find attached two versions of the Prayer Diary. The consecutive format is recommended for displaying on a computer screen, or printing for home use; the booklet format is recommended for printing a double-sided booklet.

You can also download the Prayer Diary from the diocesan website. We aim to publish it on or before the 20th day of the preceding month.

Ryan Finnegan 14/05/15 Flyer  ‘Growing in Praise’ – Drop-in Quiet Day led by Bishop John

Bishop John will lead a ‘drop-in’ Quiet Day at Offa House on Wednesday 8 July from 9am until 4:30pm. Reflections will be given at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12:30pm (Eucharist), 3pm and 4pm.

There is no charge but offerings towards Offa House Rhythm of Prayer will be gratefully received. Tea and coffee will be available.

The Icon Centre Open Day will take place at St Laurence Church Rowington on Thursday 25 June. St Laurence Church is open all day for people to drop in to meet and talk to members of the Icon Centre or just enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful place. It will be open from 9:30am till 4:30pm with prayers at 10am and 12:15pm.

This is not an exhibition but a chance to see the Icon Centre at work. Feel free to go in, look, chat, ask questions, pick up a pencil or paintbrush and learn a little more about iconography and its significance.

Ellie Clack 11/05/15  News Story – CCN Pilgrimage

Reconciliation has been at the heart of Coventry Cathedral’s ministry since its destruction on the 14th April 1940. As part of this ongoing ministry, there will be pilgrims from Germany living as part of the Cathedral community from Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th May, learning about the roots of its reconciling ministry and being equipped to work for reconciliation in their own homes.

As part of the 800th anniversary activities for the Magna Carta, Coventry Cathedral is holding a one day conference on 23rd June focused on the ongoing allure of this ancient document and why it is still relevant in the 21st century.
