The April edition of the Central Contents Register has now been published, listing items that Church of England churches across the country are looking to acquire or find new homes for.

If you are interested in any item then simply contact directly the person named in the entry.

If you would like to add any item then get in touch Vivienne Chick, whose contact details are in the cover letter.

Don’t forget that faculty permission is required for any acquisition or disposal. (The DAC office will of course be happy to assist with this.)

Graeme Pringle 24/04/15  Urgent prayers needed for Iraq

From Canon Andrew White, (The Vicar of Baghdad): “The crisis in Iraq has got worse than ever. Scores have been murdered, (behead, raped, homes and churches destroyed), we always think it can’t get worse and it does. Dr Sarah is in Erbil and her stories are just too awful to tell.”

The annual Remember Our Child service will take place on Sunday 10 May at 4pm in Coventry Cathedral. The guest speaker this year will be The Reverend Dorothy Moore Brooks, Deputy Senior Chaplain at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Ryan Finnegan 23/04/15 Poster  International Gala Concert – Rutter UK Premiere

In a unique event, two hundred voices, the English Symphony Orchestra and four conductors will raise the roof of Coventry Cathedral on 4 July. John Rutter’s music is known and loved throughout the world.

He will also be conducting a new work entitled “Canticles of Creation”. Bob Chilcott will conduct extracts from his Requiem and St. John Passion. Paul Leddington Wright, Musical Director of Saint Michael’s Singers, will conduct his Te Deum written for the choir’s 50th anniversary in 2010. The Singers are joined on this occasion by two choirs from America.

Ryan Finnegan 12/03/15 Flyer  Practical Mediation Skills Course at Cathedral: 10-12 June

Do you deal with conflicts between individuals or groups in your job or position?

St Michael’s House, home to Coventry Cathedral’s reconciliation ministry, is launching a new course in mediation from 10-12 June 2015.

Based around practical exercises and case studies and led by experienced trainers, the course aims to give participants the experience of mediation at various stages. It will be especially suitable for clergy, head teachers, chairs of governors, who wish to benefit from the practical advantages associated with mediation or conflict resolution.
