Ellie Clack 18/12/14 Booklet Consecutive  Prayer Diary – January 2015The January Prayer Diary includes news stories from Nuneaton Deanery.

Please find attached two versions of the Prayer Diary. The consecutive format is recommended for displaying on a computer screen, or printing for home use; the booklet format is recommended for printing a double-sided booklet.

You can also download the Prayer Diary from the diocesan website. We aim to publish it on or before the 20th day of the preceding month.

Ryan Finnegan 18/12/14 Poster  Creative Journeying – Quiet Day at Offa House – 28 JanuaryMarie Calvert will lead a Quiet Day entitled “Creative Journeying” at Offa House on Wednesday 28 January, from 10am until 4pm.

If your life is often busy, this will be the perfect opportunity for a day of reflection offering space for relaxation, stillness, Bible reading, creative activity and individual reflection.

Ryan Finnegan 18/12/14  Remembering Canon Stuart Hudson – 11 JanuarySunday 11 January 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the death of Stuart Hudson, a much loved priest in Coventry Diocese.

St John the Divine, Willenhall, where he served as Vicar for over 20 years, will be holding a service to remember him on 11 January at 10am. All are welcome.

Ryan Finnegan 18/12/14 Flyer  Pray and Fast For the Climate – 31 January‘Pray and Fast for the Climate’ is an initiative to mobilise Christians of all denominations to fast and pray on the 1st day of every month for a meaningful and just climate agreement at the Paris climate summit in December 2015.

All are welcome to a service on Saturday 31 January at Westwood Church, CV4 8GN, from 11am till 12:15pm. The service will include video, prayer stations and a reflection led by Bishop John.

Ryan Finnegan 18/12/14  Riding Lights Passion Play – 6 MarchRiding Lights will be performing their Passion play ‘Inheritance’ at St Paul’s Church, Leamington Spa. The performance will be at 7:30pm on Friday 6 March. Tickets are £12 with an early bird price of £9 for bookings before 31 January.

Inheritance weaves the strands of the biblical Passion into a dramatic new narrative. It evokes the community where Jesus lived, the people who knew him best, the powers that brought him to execution. And in the shadow of the cross, it casts light on some of the women who Jesus stands alongside, sharing in their suffering.

Ryan Finnegan 18/12/14 Flyer  Skip Extreme Resolutions – 24 JanuaryKings Compass invite you to join them for a 1 day workshop where you will explore a unique Christian Wheel of Life, take a spiritual health-check as well as use timelines to future gaze and identify focus for 2015. You’ll leave with a vision and first steps into a more effective and Christ centred life for the year ahead and beyond.

Ryan Finnegan 17/12/14  Founder of Street Pastors Visits Stratford – 7 FebruaryRev’d Les Isaac, founder of Street Pastors will be speaking at an evening of celebration, worship and thanksgiving on Saturday 7 February from 7pm till 8:30pm, at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon.

The event will be followed by refreshments and Stratford-upon-Avon Street Pastors AGM at the Methodist Church, opposite Holy Trinity Church. All are welcome to go and hear this inspirational speaker.

Ryan Finnegan 17/12/14 Flyer  Breaking Free from Eating Disorders – Tastelife CoursesTastelife UK would like to invite you to a course comprising 8 evenings, in Warwickshire, for sufferers of eating disorders and those who care for them. Topics will include ‘Living to eat or eating to live’, addictions, emotions and mind matters.

The course will take place on Monday evenings near Kenilworth, beginning 2 February. The suggested donation is £5 per session.

This is the second series of Quiet Days to be held at St. Laurence Church, Meriden. Lesley Lee will lead this first Quiet Day of 2015.

Ryan Finnegan 17/12/14  Offa House Christmas Quiet Day – 30 DecemberCome and enjoy the peace and quiet of Offa House between 9:30am and 4pm. Stay for an hour or stay for the day. There is no need to book a place, just drop in.

There will be a 12:30pm Eucharist, opportunities to take in the tranquillity of both house and grounds, gentle music and creative materials to use if you wish. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
